I've left the under side of the lock open so that you can see the genuine handmade aspect - there's no computer aided design, no 3D printing, just pure, traditional processes. The lock has been carefully hand-carved in wax and then cast in sterling silver, filed, sanded and polished. Finally, it has been gold-plated in 18K gold to a high-quality thickness of 3 microns.

This quality of gold-plating on sterling silver is known as Gold Vermeil and is distinct from ordinary gold-plating due to the thickness of the gold. It means that the plating is sure to last, and because the metal underneath the gold is sterling silver, you're unlikely to have any allergy issues even if you have sensitive skin.

It comes on a fine matching gold-vermeil chain, which complements the pendant perfectly.

Sterling silver jewellery will naturally tarnish with time and wear, but this can happen a lot quicker if it comes into contact with chemicals such as lotions, creams, perfume, hairspray and acidic skin ph.

When not wearing, store your jewellery separately so that pieces do not tangle, rub or scratch against each other. I include a small piece of anti-tarnish paper in the box I ship it in, so I would recommend that you store your jewellery in the box.

To look keep this item shining beautifully, polish as required with a silver polish and buff gently.

It is recommended that you remove your jewellery before bathing, swimming and sleeping.
Quality:  Each item is made of sterling silver, but may not be hallmarked because its weight is less than that for hallmarking requirements. Any item that is above hallmarking weight will be hallmarked with the unique hallmark for Halo Jewellery UK.

Guarantee: Each item sold is guaranteed for two years from the date of purchase as long as you can produce a receipt. Just send it back to me by post, payable by the customer, and I will repair or replace the damaged item for free.
